This also depends on what area of audio we're talking about. It was originally created in the early 1990s as Notator Logic, or Logic, by German software developer C-Lab which later went by Emagic. ![]() It is an excellent choice for composers who wish to incorporate many synths. I would say in the US, it's mostly PT or Logic. Cubase is a well-known DAW that is mostly MIDI and plugin instrument-based (VSTis). ![]()
